the primary benefits of becoming a Project Partner is to become
known as one of the groups that have spearheaded a transformation in
how children are raised in Los
Angeles.
Your group can do this
by joining with NEPI
and
CICC, and a growing number
of other Los Angeles-based organizations, in becoming part of a new,
five year project entitled, Organizing LA for Effective
Parenting.

the Project began on January

Angeles

· Newsletters with Tips on Effective
Parenting

Discounts on
Enrollments in Parenting Classes and Seminars

Completing Parenting Classes

1000 Parenting Books, Videos, CDs and DVDs
Parents who are part of
your organization, through having their children enrolled in your
school or center, or through being members, clients or patients,
will be able to take advantage of this array of educational
benefits at a reduced rate.
In addition, your staff
or consultants will be able to participate at a discount in
parenting instructor training workshops to learn how to conduct
developmentally and culturally appropriate parenting programs. These individuals and your
organization will also receive a quarterly newsletter about the
latest research, parenting programs and marketing
methods.
Working together,
Project Partners will help create and sustain
·
A region wide
Effective Parenting Campaign to educate the public about what
constitutes Effective Parenting in the 21st Century, and
the role and importance of parenting education in being an effective
contemporary parent.
·
A Central
Telephone and Internet Service to allow parents to learn about and
enroll in parenting classes and seminars from their homes or
offices.
·
Gala Effective
Parenting Expos that showcase the nation's best parenting programs,
provide skill training workshops, and which puts parents into
personal contact with the organizations that they can turn to in
their communities for help and parenting assistance.
All of these
community-building and continuing education opportunities are
available to your group by becoming a Los Angeles-based Affiliated
Organization of the National Effective Parenting
Initiative.
Yearly membership dues
are based on the size of your organization's annual budget, and dues
range from $150 to $1000 a year.

NEPI is the new
membership and advocacy arm of the nonprofit CICC. CICC was
established in Los Angeles in 1974 and has grown to be one of the
nation's most influential and productive parenting education
institutions.
